Hi! I’m Eliese, an 8th grader at Lincoln Lutheran Middle and High School. This is for my Religion 8 class. We are pretending to be five star book critiques.

I believe the theme of this chapter is love. In the beginning he says that God makes the poor his priority. therefore we should make the poor our priority. We should show them love and compassion, and teach them the good news of Christ. I believe that the author’s main point was that we need to share Jesus’ love with everyone, not just our friends. That relates to the theme I found by saying that we need to give love to everybody not just the rich but the poor and middle class too. I do not think there are any implied ideas, i think that author speaks very plainly and openly in this chapter as well as covering all the ideas. I think the author’s goal with this chapter was to show us how God thinks we should share the Word and to give us ideas on how we can do it.
